Server logs
When you access this website, the server processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address, time of access, requested file, and browser information. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Logs are deleted when they are no longer required for this purpose.
Bug reports
When submitting a report, we process its description, game version, and an optional screenshot. The data is stored in a non-public server directory and used solely for bug analysis. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Reports are deleted once processing and documentation are complete, unless legal obligations require otherwise.
No visitor cookies
The public website uses no cookies or local browser storage. Language versions are selected through the URL; the bug-report form is protected by a time-limited signed form token. Only the separate, non-public admin area requires a technically necessary session cookie after login.
Anonymous access statistics
The self-hosted, cookieless statistics count page views and aggregate the date, language, coarse country, browser family, operating system, device type, referrer domain, and campaign parameters. Anonymous interactions such as Steam and YouTube clicks, video progress, language changes, and opened gallery images are also counted. No IP addresses, full user agents, full referrer URLs, cookies, local-storage values, screen characteristics, or individual visitor identifiers are stored. The country is included only when the web host, a local GeoIP module, or an upstream CDN provides a country code; otherwise it appears as “Unknown”. Search-engine bots and requests with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not counted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the data-minimizing improvement of the website and its content.
No transmission to platforms
The form submits exclusively to this index.php. The code contains no Steam, YouTube, Discord, or other third-party interface. A platform opens only when you deliberately select a Steam or YouTube link; form data is never included.
Your rights
Within the applicable legal framework, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, particularly the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.
